Accounting Manager

Summary

Join Movemedical as an Accounting Manager to manage and advance our accounting operations, ensuring compliance, managing accounting records, and supporting internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 6+ years of accounting experience
• CPA certification
• Prior auditing experience with private companies
• Experience with enterprise accounting software solutions including QuickBooks and NetSuite
• Strong proficiency in GAAP, ASC 606, and are familiar with policies guiding software and services companies
• Adaptable, possess excellent communication skills, have a keen attention to detail, and thrive in dynamic environments
• Experience leading a small team and have the potential to scale into a senior role
• Experience working with investor-backed companies or organizations with external oversight

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire accounting cycle and ensure accurate month-end closures
• Maintain the company’s general ledger and track assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues
• Ensure the organization’s financial statements and records comply with GAAP principles
• Lead internal and external auditors and be responsible for audit-related inquiries
• Reconcile bank accounts to manage cash flows
• Identify areas for accounting process improvements and provide solutions to streamline operations including documenting and preparing new policies and procedures
• Work closely with the finance team to complement strategic planning efforts
• Ensure accurate and timely record keeping and compliance with all finance policies
• Maintain communication across departments such as Sales and HR for payroll and benefits
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure contract terms and efficient payment processing
