Accounting Manager

Summary

Join Artemis Health as an Accounting Manager to lead the monthly close and manage a team. You will manage the billing process for complex SaaS subscriptions, collaborate with other departments on customer pricing, manage accounts receivable and collections, ensure sales and use tax compliance, and assist with accounts payable and employee reimbursements. The ideal candidate is a CPA with 7+ years of experience in a high-volume, software/SaaS environment. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, maintaining control procedures, processing sales commissions, and assisting with the annual audit. The role requires strong accounting skills, proficiency in finance systems (Netsuite), and excellent communication abilities.

Requirements

• 3+ years hands-on experience with payroll processes, accounts payable and accounts receivable
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting
• Proficiency with finance and accounting systems, like Netsuite
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
• Understanding of and ability to meet deadlines
• Adept at handling confidential information
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Willing to solve problems and go the extra mile to provide service

Responsibilities

• Manage the billing process for complex multi-year SaaS subscriptions based on a PEPM (per employee per month) structure as well as any related contract modifications, and renewals
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and other departments to ensure that customer pricing and other customer relationship decisions are handled in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage accounts receivable and supervise the collections process, including customer billing inquiries, customer payments, and overall customer relationships
• Manage sales and use tax compliance for states in which we have nexus
• Assist in the accounts payable process as needed
• Assist in the employee reimbursement process as needed
• Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate internal financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows)
• Maintain and document control procedures and a system of policies and procedures
• Process sales commissions, bonuses, and other variable compensation
• Assist in the annual external audit for the company’s financial statements
• Supports and promotes the vision, mission and core values of Artemis Health in professional image, personal interactions, communications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Netsuite a plus
• Experience with Salesforce a plus
• Experience in SaaS a plus
