Requirements
- Minimum of 4+ years experience in B2B sales, specifically in selling data consulting services
- Sales leadership experience is required
- Proven success in driving revenue growth, managing large-scale, complex sales processes, and acquiring and closing new greenfield clients
- In-depth understanding of data consulting services, including current trends, challenges, and best practices
- Proven experience selling services or solutions to data-centric clients
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain high-level relationships with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers
- Proven ability to independently generate and manage a robust lead list, employing various strategies and tools to identify and reach potential clients
- Experience in creating and developing effective sales materials to support business development and enhance client engagement
- Experience building pitch decks, contracts, and RFP responses is a must
- Strong strategic and analytical skills to craft and implement effective sales strategies tailored to client needs
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively
- Advanced negotiation skills with a track record of closing high-value deals and managing multi-faceted sales contracts
- Demonstrated ability to successfully utilize Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and any other tools or software needed
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with a strong focus on acquiring new greenfield clients within the data services industry
- Establish new clients within three months of hire and continue to acquire new clients each quarter thereafter
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive lead list by identifying potential clients, researching key decision-makers, and employing strategic outreach methods
- Continuously expand your network to generate new leads and opportunities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans tailored to the unique needs and challenges of each client, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business objectives, and aligning our consulting services accordingly
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to diagnose client needs, present tailored solutions, and drive complex sales cycles from initial engagement to closing
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging market opportunities to effectively position our services and drive competitive advantages
- Create and develop compelling sales materials, including presentations, proposals, and case studies, tailored to meet the needs of potential clients and effectively communicate the value of our consulting services
- Work closely with the assigned Account Director to build a team of resources for each sales engagement
- Ensure the collective team delivers high-quality output and fosters long-term relationship building with clients
- Collaborate with the Resourcing team to align project delivery with client expectations and ensure the necessary resources are in place for successful engagement execution
- Ensure sales are structured to meet or exceed appropriate revenue and margin goals
- Develop strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining high service quality and client satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline management, and forecasting, providing regular updates to the Managing Director and contributing to strategic planning
