Director, Product Marketing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience
• 15+ years product marketing experience in enterprise technologies, including experience in cloud / SaaS environments
• Experience in leadership roles, with both direct reports and across teams
• Experience working across marketing, sales and product management
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders regarding matters of significance
• Experience and metric-driven success in marketing to specific audiences and industries

Responsibilities

• Lead the charge: Define and champion the product marketing vision for Smartsheet's content management and enterprise collaboration solutions, grounded in a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities
• Build a high-performing team: Develop and mentor a team of product marketers specializing in content and collaboration, fostering a culture of excellence through effective hiring, mentorship, and performance management
• Drive cross-functional alignment: Collaborate closely with product management, sales, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of content and collaboration solutions across the organization
• Empower the field: Equip sales teams with the resources they need to effectively position and sell content and collaboration solutions, including compelling sales narratives, demos, presentations, and competitive battle cards
• Champion customer needs: Be a passionate advocate for customers seeking content and collaboration solutions, ensuring their needs are prioritized in product development and go-to-market strategies
• Fuel global growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the reach and impact of Smartsheet's content and collaboration solutions globally, driving adoption and market leadership
• Embrace innovation: Continuously explore new approaches and innovative strategies to optimize product marketing efforts and drive growth in the content and collaboration space
• Measure and optimize: Establish clear and measurable metrics to track performance, and foster a data-driven, "test and learn" approach to optimize results and ensure continuous improvement
• Support other duties as needed
