Summary

The Head of Marketing at Ascend will manage marketing functions, develop positioning and messaging, and collaborate with other teams. The candidate should have a bachelor's degree, at least 6 years of B2B SaaS Marketing experience, 2 years in a direct management role, and understanding of Accounts Payable and/or Payments Issuance is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Run Marketing with a focus on deep domain knowledge. Collaborate with Sales, Success, and Product Management teams to ensure the successful growth of Accounts Payable Automation and Payments technologies
  • Direct management of Ascend’s Marketing function with a focus on growth. This includes managing 1 FTE and many contract resources across design, advertising, and operations
  • Develop positioning and messaging, create and promote content to a small TAM, and share our message via online and in-person channels
  • Assess, manage and build the operational infrastructure to efficiently run, operate and report on the Marketing function
  • Change agent for Marketing at Ascend, working directly with senior leadership to scale the department and company

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in product positioning, narrative, case studies, and development across channels like blogs, email campaigns, and event presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to delivery high quality work while managing multiple projects
