Requirements

• Active Medical Assistant Certification
• 2+ years experience as a Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Oversees medical record retrieval, completing paperwork, provide referrals to specialists, prior authorizations, virtually greet patients prior to visits with neurologists, and other clinical and administrative duties within the Medical Assistant scope
• Adheres to HIPAA guidelines and standards, provides advocacy support on behalf of patients and families with clinical providers, billing and insurance companies, and other partners in the care team as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling and reviewing medical records
• Experience in a startup or organization that has experienced rapid growth and change
• Experience in coordinating and managing referrals
• Exceptional communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish
