Summary

Join Buckner International's People Operations team as a temporary People Operations Assistant in Dallas, TX (remote). You will provide crucial support to senior leadership, managing calendars, communications, and various administrative tasks. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience supporting senior leaders is required, along with a high school diploma or GED. The position involves managing expense reports, processing invoices, and acting as a liaison between senior leaders. Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or G.E.D)
  • Minimum 7 years prior related experience, including working directly with senior leaders
  • Consistently demonstrate excellence in customer service while representing the People Operations office to both internal and external constituents
  • Ability to act with integrity, maintain confidentiality, be detail-oriented, define problems, draw conclusions, and make decisions expeditiously
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of simultaneously and effectively managing multiple complex projects
  • Recognition that the organization is a faith-based organization operating with a commitment to Christian principles
  • Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and /or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and /or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects
  • Ability to walk frequently; occasionally stand for prolonged periods of time; occasionally required to squat, climb stairs, kneel and twist. Required to sit for prolonged periods of time, including extensive airline travel

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the departmental calendar for the People Operations and Internal Communications teams
  • Effectively handle all types of communication, including correspondence with internal and external constituents
  • Meet regularly with the SVP, Chief People & Internal Communications Officer, and the VP, People Operations, to discuss and follow up on communication and activities
  • Keep the SVP, Chief People & Internal Communications Officer, and the VP, People Operations, informed of communication and activities handled in their absence
  • Serve as liaison between the SVP, Chief People & Internal Communications Officer, and the VP, People Operations, and others
  • Exercise excellent discernment skills to identify, analyze, and determine effective management of all issues, concerns, and day-to-day communication in the office independently, one-on-one with the SVP, Chief People & Internal Communications Officer, and the VP of People Operations. Make independent decisions in accordance with guidelines
  • Initiate professional assertiveness when necessary to handle matters
  • Prepare presentations to support the SVP, Chief People & Internal Communications Officer, and the VP of people Operations
  • Accurately and timely prepare, audit, and process People Operations invoices for payment
  • Accurately complete expense reports for the SVP, Chief People & Internal Communications Officer, VP, People Operations, and other designated staff as required
  • Manage, review, prepare, and monitor expense reports in a timely manner. Provide technical support and training for People Operations staff to ensure accurate expense reporting
  • Review and accurately process mail and other forms of correspondence in a timely manner
