Requirements
- Cultural awareness and adaptability to European, UK, and Belgian regulations and cultural norms
- Strong understanding of global employment laws and best practices
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills
- Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Self-motivated team player with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- May sit for prolonged periods of time
- Requires significant use of personal computer, phone and general office equipment
- The use of various types of vision, including but not limited to close vision, distance vision, and color differentiation
- Must be able to effectively communicate with team members, managers, and candidates via phone, video conferencing (i.e., teams, zoom), email, and messaging platforms. This includes clear verbal and written communication
- Must have the ability to view and interpret data on a computer screen and review electronic documents for extended periods
- Must be able to use a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment efficiently to perform tasks such as typing, data entry, and document management
- While the role is primarily sedentary, the individual must be able to navigate a remote work environment and may need to attend occasional in-person meetings or events, depending on company needs
- Must have a dedicated, quiet, and distraction-free workspace at home with reliable internet access to perform job duties effectively. The work environment should allow for confidential conversations and the secure handling of sensitive information
- Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, training sessions, or company events. Reasonable accommodations can be provided as needed
- Must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom or other European countries
Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to enhance morale, including team-building activities, celebrations, and recognition programs
- Gather and act on team member feedback to improve satisfaction and engagement
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation, exit interviews, and documentation
- Partner with hiring managers to manage job postings, schedule interviews, and maintain candidate communication
- Promote a culture of inclusivity and respect through programs and policy development
- Support leaders in setting objectives, conducting reviews, and addressing performance issues through improvement plans
- Maintain accurate data in HRIS, manage team member records, and generate reports on key metrics
- Track leave and attendance, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements
- Coordinate training initiatives, source external providers, and foster a culture of continuous learning
- Support enrollment and address team member benefits inquiries
- Provide guidance on employment matters, mediate conflicts, and promote open communication
- Assist in developing policies and ensure compliance with global employment laws, particularly in the UK, Europe, and Belgium
- Contribute to strategic HR efforts, including engagement surveys, diversity programs, and process improvements
- Manage external vendors and coordinate equipment provisioning for new hires
- Provide administrative support across HR functions, including calendar management, document preparation, and data entry
- Prepare business travel documentation, ensuring compliance with policies
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to support team and organizational goals
