Requirements

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience in B2B software, ideally in data management, analytics, or related data technology fields
  • Strong understanding of data catalog, metadata management, and data governance markets
  • Track record launching and positioning complex technical products and translating technical features into benefits for a diverse buying committee
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - taking initiatives to challenge assumptions and status quo,identify opportunities for growth, and competitive disruption
  • Excellent people skills - strong collaborator and team player who builds mutually beneficial relationships across functions, regions and organizational levels
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - comfortable with creating and delivering presentations to diverse audiences
  • Data-driven mindset balanced with creative instincts to guide decisions, strategies and actions

Responsibilities

  • Lead product marketing strategy and execution for our data catalog and intelligence platform, with a focus on new customer acquisition
  • Develop differentiated positioning and messaging that resonates with technical and business buyers, applying your data management knowledge and understanding of personas
  • Partner with Product Management on market requirements, product vision, launches, and pricing strategy
  • Strategize with Sales leadership to develop sales plays to drive pipe generation and upsell/cross-sell strategies to the Actian install base
  • Partner with Demand Generation on high-impact campaigns and full-funnel content in a variety of formats, making use of new digital tools and technologies
  • Partner with Field Marketing to execute marketing campaigns and event activations
  • Partner with Analyst Relations to evangelize our point of view in the market and participate in the research process
  • Support our Partner ecosystem with Better Together messaging and co-marketing content for key technology alliances and industry partners
  • Enable Sales through product and persona training, use case content, and market insights on the evolving data intelligence landscape
  • Represent the company in customer engagements, at leading industry conferences, and online communities
