Summary

Join Sand Cherry Associates as a Director, Program Management, leading and executing critical enterprise projects and programs for an oil and gas client. You will provide strategic program management, communicate with stakeholders, and manage the program portfolio. Executive-level recommendations and change management expertise are crucial. This remote role requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic program and project management, specifically with technology implementations and M&A integrations, and 7 years in the oil and gas industry. The position involves collaboration, risk mitigation, and adherence to quality standards. Up to 20% travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 8 years strong strategic enterprise-wide program and project management (specifically with technology implementations and M&A integrations)
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in oil and gas industry with a strong understanding of natural gas industry standards, market trends, emerging issues, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work within the United States and not require any visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic program management direction and leadership to identify and mitigate any potential risks that may impact enterprise-wide program and/or project management success
  • Maintain transparent and effective communication with numerous cross-functional stakeholders and Executive-level senior management
  • Direct, manage, monitor and report on the progress and performance of the entire program portfolio
  • Make Executive-level recommendations to support strategic decisions regarding project initiation, continuation, or termination
  • Actively use a Change Management Toolkit, ensuring key steps are followed and project resources contribute appropriately
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, tools, and formal program management methodologies
  • Help lead all M&A activities related to integration of acquired assets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP)
  • M&A integration experience in Upstream Oil and Gas, including setting up an IMO, workstream support, synergy identification, and value capture
  • Expert in strategy, portfolio, project management, process improvement, and change management
  • Advanced leadership and management skills including achieving results through influence, guiding performance and development, and fostering a motivating an inclusive workplace
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related applications e.g., project management and digital visualization software and tools
  • Analytical, structured thinker. Ability to quickly break down problems, information, and data into logical groupings, clear next steps, etc.; naturally curious to continue asking the next question; fast to narrow in on the crux of an issue; ability to add structure quickly to ambiguity of all kinds
  • Comfortable with numbers; strong experience analyzing complex data sets, building models, and identifying or understanding relationships between metrics
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills. Building decks for C-Suite executives is required
  • Advanced leadership and management skills including achieving results through influence, guiding performance and development, and fostering a motivating and inclusive workplace
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related applications. Uses understanding of digital concepts to create basic digital tools. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are required
