Summary

You will lead all accounting operations, including month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliation. Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years experience in the corporate accounting department in public companies, Big 4 accounting firms, or high-growth companies
- Bachelorβs degree in finance or accounting; CPA required
- Prior experience with fair value accounting and secured debt facilities
- Experience with NetSuite
- Strong Excel skills
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills and comfort with making data-driven decisions
- Comfortable with ambiguity and possess a βfigure it out & get it doneβ mentality
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
Responsibilities
- Lead all operations related to the accounting department including month-end close, general ledger activity, balance sheet reconciliation, daily settlement reporting, treasury, and payables
- Manage and execute the monthly financial close process including preparation and delivery of financial reporting and analysis to internal and external stakeholders
- Possess thorough working knowledge of US GAAP, technical accounting standards, and internal controls
- Mentor and review accounting deliverables of junior team members
- Partner closely with the Finance team by providing key insights and visibility into financial results
- Continuously evaluate areas for process improvement and automation
- Proven capability to streamline processes and build out accounting processes for new products
- Lead annual audit and tax filings to completion
- Other duties and ad hoc projects within the scope of responsibilities, including state financials and quarterly investor financials preparation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with startups, specialty finance or FinTech
- SQL Experience (PostgreSQL is a plus!)
- Experience with Ramp, Mineral Tree, and Solution7

$98,000 - $135,000 a year
