Remote Business Development Representative

Summary

Join Tapcart, a growing startup based in Santa Monica, CA, as an experienced Business Development Representative for a temporary 3-month contract. In this role, you'll generate top-of-funnel demand by conducting outreach through cold calls, emails, social channels, etc., and work closely with our Sales, Partner, and Marketing teams to identify and qualify opportunities that contribute to the overall growth of the company.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a Business Development or similar role
• Proven track record of generating qualified opportunities through cold outreach
• Highly motivated, self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to learn quickly and thrive in a remote position
• Polished and professional written/verbal communication skills
• Coachable and ready to take your sales skills to the next level
• Experience using tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and Chorus
• Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

• Prospect new business opportunities with top DTC brands on Shopify
• Develop account plans and conduct personalized outreach to stakeholders within your territory
• Generate qualified opportunities via cold calls, email, and social media channels
• Participate in campaign sprints, field events, and partner initiatives to drive top-of-funnel performance
• Play an active role in the development of outreach strategies, content, and messaging
• Conduct initial outreach to prospects and position the Tapcart value proposition effectively
• Maintain accurate records in our CRM
