Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Candidate must have exceptional communication skills, the ability to professionally interact with clients, as well as have superior organizational and document preparation skills
  • Candidate must be motivated, self-starter, highly detail-oriented and manage tasks in a timely and proactive manner
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Including SharePoint and Excel) and other law firm related software
  • Ability to review/modify legal documents with minimal guidance from attorneys
  • Ability to work independently, drive projects forward and manage deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within stated deadlines and for more than one attorney
  • Strong leadership, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of the organization
  • Ability to present ideas and information in a concise, organized way
  • Must have a professional appearance
  • Experience Required: 2+ to 5 Years

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys and paralegals who handle a wide range of legal matters including corporate transactions, employment law, compliance, healthcare law, intellectual property, real estate [residential and commercial related matters], technology, general civil litigation, wills, trusts and estates
  • Keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; client communication; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney
  • Oversee and maintain internal procedures for client data and case files
  • Provide support as required, including performing routine conflict checks and conflict analysis, managing office supplies, being first point of contact for all incoming calls, opening and closing cases in case management software, MyCase, managing shipments and firm mail, tracking and managing internal facilities matters
  • Administrative duties including phone answering, opening and closing files, maintaining managing partner’s calendar, entering managing partner’s billing, will signing witness, filing, office maintenance, managing supply inventory, and mail/shipping

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with web-based case management system, MyCase or Clio experience preferred, but not required
