Summary

Join Quora's Sales team as a Sales Development Representative and contribute to driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships. This remote-first contract role, based in North America, involves prospecting new advertising partners, analyzing data, solving problems creatively, and collaborating with Account Executives to onboard new advertisers. You will be responsible for conducting outbound prospecting, researching potential clients, generating email copy, scheduling meetings, and collaborating with the sales team to refine strategies. This role requires strong communication skills, previous experience in sales or advertising, self-motivation, and adaptability to unstructured environments. Preferred qualifications include experience with Salesforce and Outreach.io.

Requirements

  • Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's β€œ coordination hours β€œ (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence prospects
  • Previous experience in sales, advertising, or other related field
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to unstructured environments and frequent change
  • Sense of resiliency and ability to persist after receiving rejection

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting through channels such as email and LinkedIn
  • Research and identify potential advertising clients and decision makers within target account list
  • Generate email copy and subject line(s), continuously testing and iterating based on learnings
  • Conduct individualized research to identify data points/recent news that is relevant to each unique brand
  • Schedule meetings for the sales team with qualified prospects
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to refine strategies
  • Periodically re-engage prior, cold contacts and / or enrich cold accounts with new contacts
  • Research and trial AI tools that would help improve sales team efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with Salesforce
  • Previous experience with Outreach.io
