Summary

The job is for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) in Venafi, based in The Netherlands, who will be responsible for prospecting new business opportunities via cold call, email, and prospecting tools. The role requires 2+ years of experience in sales business development, extensive outbound cold-calling experience, superior lead follow-up skills, knowledge of SFDC CRM system and modern selling tools, fluency in Dutch, French, and English languages, and a team player mentality.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in sales business development role, preferably selling software technology solutions and managing the β€˜cultivation’ phase of a sales cycle
  • Extensive experience in outbound cold-calling, targeting multiple levels of contacts including executive management
  • Excellent lead follow-up skills responding to and qualifying leads from marketing generated campaigns and incoming phone and web inquiries
  • Superior pre-call planning, opportunity qualification, and objection handling skills
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving your objectives and goals
  • Knowledge and experience of the SFDC CRM system and modern selling tools (i.e. Outreach, SalesLoft, Gong, etc.)
  • Fully fledged team player who can work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Fearlessness/resilience – willing to call new people daily to educate and explain the Venafi value proposition as it relates to everyone you speak with
  • Drive, passion, and competitiveness with strong desire to over-achieve set goals
  • Extremely self-motivated and independent with a diligent work ethic
  • High level of integrity and strong commitment to building a successful company
  • The courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it
  • Proven track record of success (needs to have made quota consistently)
  • Professional fluency both spoken and written of Dutch, French, and English language

Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect target/named accounts for new business opportunities via cold call, email, and prospecting tools
  • Cold call into major accounts to uncover potential contacts and set meetings
  • Educate prospects on the Venafi story and understand a prospect company’s primary business issues to match a fitting solution
  • Ensure successful follow-through of sales cycle by continually maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information within Salesforce.com
  • Work closely with our marketing to support successful outbound campaigns
  • Drive traffic to various online and offline events including (but not limited to) tradeshows, webinars, and seminars
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
  • Professionally represent yourself and Venafi at all times to prospects, customers, and partners
