Summary

Join our client, a Freight Brokerage operating in North America, as an Ocean Freight Sales Manager and drive business growth by generating new business, managing existing accounts, and leveraging industry knowledge to develop strategic partnerships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in ocean freight sales, with a proven track record of success
  • Must bring an established book of business and demonstrated ability to close deals
  • Strong knowledge of ocean freight logistics, including rates, routes, and regulations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in salesforce is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to target new customers and expand existing accounts within the ocean freight market
  • Utilize your existing book of business to generate immediate sales opportunities and drive revenue growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations
  • Provide expert advice and solutions tailored to clients' ocean freight needs, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure smooth service delivery and address client concerns
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs
