Summary
Join Tessitura, a non-profit dedicated to supporting arts and cultural organizations, as their Senior Manager of Growth Marketing! This remote, North American-based role involves leading multichannel marketing strategies to boost awareness and adoption of Tessitura products and services. You will oversee campaigns, develop content plans, manage marketing efforts, analyze campaign metrics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position requires 8+ years of marketing experience, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage a team. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong preference for 2+ years of B2B marketing and/or lead generation experience
- Ability to write clearly and persuasively
- Ability to communicate technical information simply and compellingly to all audiences and to go beyond features and specs to communicate benefits
- Ability to work on a wide variety of tasks and projects concurrently and to prioritize as needed
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and move projects forward
Responsibilities
- Create and oversee campaigns to fill the company’s sales pipelines, incorporating content marketing, targeted advertising, search engine marketing and other tactics as appropriate
- Develop content plans for paid advertising and other promotional campaigns, including overseeing the creation of marketing copy, lead magnets and success stories
- Manage additional growth marketing efforts, including search engine marketing and advertising grant programs (such as Google Grant and Microsoft Ads for Social Impact)
- Analyze campaign metrics and measure key performance indicators to optimize resources and improve ROI
- Drive the development and execution of an effective marketing strategy for Tessitura’s presence at industry trade shows, including overseeing displays, advertisements and other collateral to maximize impact and engagement
- In close collaboration with the Business Development and Member Success teams, build customer journeys that advance prospects and existing users along the path to greater engagement with Tessitura
- Ensure a smooth handoff of prospects in the sales pipelines from Marketing to Business Development or Member Success
- Lead strategic initiatives to build and strengthen relationships with high-credibility external vendors, working with the Partnerships team. Drive co-marketing efforts that align with the goals of Tessitura, its partners and members, ensuring impactful outcomes and mutual success
- Ensure consistent brand voice and standards across marketing content and communications
- Supervise the work of an internal Marketing Specialist and external consultants to support marketing projects
- Provide clear communication, set expectations and foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and mutual respect
- Monitor performance, offer constructive feedback and ensure accountability while supporting staff development and adaptability
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Support the Chief Growth Officer on key short- and long-term strategic planning initiatives and make recommendations on important business decisions
- Integrate as a key member of the Tessitura team to advance the business of arts and culture
- Role model, embed and reinforce the connection between Tessitura’s values, people and organizational performance, taking personal accountability for individual, departmental and organizational performance
- Maintain Tessitura’s reputation as a leading service provider with a focus on member needs. Working as a leader, take a broad, strategic, cross-company view in any decisions
- Improve business, financial and people performance to enhance Tessitura’s ability to strengthen the business of arts and culture. Take accountability for ensuring that all of the company’s policies and practices for people, IT and finance are acted upon in a consistent manner
- Understand the risks and challenges that face the company as an international organization, taking account of age, disability, gender identity, language, race, religious belief and sexual orientation
- Support and take personal responsibility for driving Tessitura’s mission, vision and goals, and associated strategies, and have mutual respect and appreciation for everyone’s contribution to the company, offering support and encouragement to others as required
- As a term of employment, the post holder may be required to undertake such other duties and/or times of work as may reasonably be required commensurate with the general level of responsibility within the company
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work calmly, effectively and flexibly in a busy remote work environment
- Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly
- Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team setting
- Experience managing individuals and/or teams
- Expertise in one or more areas of operations in the arts and culture field (ticketing, fundraising, visitor services, etc.)
- Proficiency with email marketing tools, CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with marketing business systems for the arts and culture sector
- Advanced marketing experience and/or high-level education in marketing
