Summary
Join TeamSnap's League Operations Team as a Sponsorship Business Development Representative (BDR) and kickstart your sales career. This role demands a hunter mentality, excellent communication, strong organization, and time management skills within a fast-paced team environment. You will research and qualify youth sports organizations for sponsorship opportunities, utilizing various outreach methods. Maintain prospect and customer data within our systems and participate in campaign planning. We offer training and coaching for career advancement within 9-12 months. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional communication and people skills, a sense of urgency, flexibility, and familiarity with youth sports and sponsorships.
Requirements
- Exceptional communication skills: You have extremely polished verbal and written communication skills, and can adapt your communication style to suit each client and internal business partner
- People Smarts. You naturally adapt your style based on your audience, you understand how to influence and reach clients across a variety of levels across an organization
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Hunter Mentality: Energy and desire to make 300+ phone calls weekly all while maintaining high motivation and a great attitude. You are naturally curious and great at navigating client conversations, asking second and third level questions to get at the heart of clientβs challenges and goals. A sense of urgency and motivation to exceed aggressive goals
- Flexibility and coachability. Weβre always fine-tuning our approach as we go along, and we expect you to do the same
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong familiarity with the youth sports landscape and/or sponsorships
Responsibilities
- Researching youth sports organizations that match our target profile, conduct a high volume of outreach with email, phone, social media, etc., qualifying them as candidates for sponsorships, and introducing them to our Onboarding team
- Work within our varied tools and systems to maintain high quality prospect and customer data and record and track all contact activities
- Participate in campaign planning and reviews with various team members to ensure the pipeline of qualified sports orgs meet our Brand partner needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with SalesForce or other CRMs, Microsoft Office and internet tools and research is preferred but not required
- 1 year cold calling experience including: Individual contributor experience in new business development and/or SaaS software or sports industry experience
