Requirements
- Love events and want to help customers accomplish their creative vision for the event
- Be excited to build your book of business from scratch
- Have relationships with meeting planners and have experience uncovering needs and mapping them to solutions
- Have event experience (selling or managing)
- Be a sales person at heart and love building and maintaining relationships and providing incredible solutions for clients
- Be a great communicator with clients, coworkers, and prospects (direct and clear communication is a priority)
- Have high initiative, prioritizing clientsβ events
- Be organized and able to multitask and stay organized with all the different moving parts
- Be a relationship builder with event industry professionals and enjoy building new relationships
- Be collaborative and know when to bring in the appropriate resources to provide the best solution for the client
Responsibilities
- Build a pipeline of opportunities through business development efforts
- Build strong relationships with high-value potential clients
- Attend industry events and network with potential clients
- Qualify all new opportunities and lead them to close
- Close opportunities to maximum potential, determining the best solution, creating the creative design, and working with internal teams to ensure technical soundness
- Oversee and direct all operations inside of their accounts (creating proposals, presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, receiving payment, and working with internal teams on execution)
- Close deals
