Summary

Join Lucidya, a leading customer experience analytics platform, as a Tech HR Business Partner to support remote teams in Egypt. This crucial role involves driving HR initiatives, enhancing employee engagement, and aligning people strategy with business goals across engineering, CX, and marketing functions. The ideal candidate possesses strong HR experience in tech startups, understands software engineering team dynamics, and can independently manage HR operations in Egypt. You will act as the primary HR contact for Egyptian teams, design engagement events, develop career plans, manage employee relations, and ensure compliance with local laws. Success will involve understanding the engineering organization, creating job families, and improving engagement metrics within the first 120 days.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR, with at least 2 years supporting tech/engineering functions in a startup environment
  • Deep understanding of HR practices within Egyptian labor law and familiarity with remote work culture
  • Demonstrated success in developing HR plans and org charts tailored to tech teams
  • Proven ability to operate independently, with a track record of influencing leadership and driving initiatives remotely
  • Egyptian National and based in Egypt
  • Flexibility to work outside of typical working hours as needed
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build rapport across distributed teams
  • Prior experience working in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to deliver results within the first 90–120 days

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR contact for the Engineering, CX, and Marketing teams in Egypt
  • Partner with senior engineering leadership to understand org structure, identify people-related needs, and align HR solutions
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives
  • Design and deliver monthly or bi-monthly engagement events
  • Develop and drive career development plans and individual development programs
  • Lead local efforts for employee engagement, feedback loops, and pulse checks
  • Manage on-the-ground employee relations and HR cases with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Cascade and lead the implementation of People team initiatives across Egypt-based teams
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies
  • Guide the implementation of performance improvement plans
  • Deliver clear development pathways including job families for engineering roles
  • Provide insights on performance trends using data to inform talent decisions
  • Track KPIs such as employee NPS, number of engagement events, and number of development plans delivered
  • Provide recommendations for improving people metrics and reporting structures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HR analytics tools and People KPIs
  • Background in facilitating cross-functional collaboration between People teams and technical departments
  • Comfortable working fully remote while managing in-person needs as required
