Summary
Upperline Health is hiring a remote Call Center Scheduler to answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments for all clinic locations. The role involves answering and orienting patients over the phone, determining appropriate clinic locations, obtaining demographic and insurance information, verifying pre-certifications, maintaining professional relationships, and responding to inquiries. Spanish speaking is required, and a high school diploma and formal training or equivalent are necessary. The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and working knowledge of medical terminology, EHR systems, and MS Office.
Requirements
- Spanish speaking is REQUIRED
- High School graduate and formal training from a vocational school or equivalent
- 1+ years’ experience in a similar call center or centralized scheduling setting
Responsibilities
- Answer, orient, and greet patients over the phone in an enthusiastic manner
- Determine appropriate clinic location and schedule patients into Vision system accordingly
- Obtain required demographic, insurance, and eligibility information and accurately document in Vision system
- Verify if the patient’s insurance requires a pre-certification and begin the referral process
- Maintain professional working relationship with all contacts, both internal and external
- Provide timely responses to all verbal and written inquiries regarding patient accounts
- Respond to voicemails and online requests within 1 hour of the patients’ messages
